  • Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California offer 6 weeks of summer day camps in Huntington Beach for children with mild to moderate difficulties behaviorally, emotionally or socially. Children who participate in Quest programming often have diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, Asperger’s Disorder, depression, learning disabilities and/or social problems. Quest Camps provide individualized behavior plans, group therapy, occupational therapy services, a 6 to 1 camper to staff ratio, parent meetings with home therapeutic goal development, and consistent positive interventions, while engaging in fun activities such as rock climbing, soccer, karate, arts and crafts, and field trips such as high-ropes courses, trips to Knott’s Berry Farm, The Discovery Science Center, Boomers, Legoland, and beach days. Ten-week rock climbing therapeutic social skills groups are also conducted throughout the school year. Some insurance policies may cover mental health services provided at Quest. Some families are also successful at receiving tax benefits related to their payment of Quest fees as a medical expense. Additional camp information is available at www.questcampsofsocal.com or (714) 490-3428.
We are very proud at Quest to have evidence-based research that supports the efficacy of our program! Quest has been found to provide effective individualized treatment for children 6-18 years old with mild to moderate behavioral, emotional and/or social problems. Children who come to Quest struggling to make friends, handling frustration and conquering their fears, leave with increased self-esteem and improved peer and family relationships. Their fears and frustrations are reduced and behavioral problems become less influential in their lives. In addition, Quest parents have consistently rated Quest highly. Specifically, rating very high satisfaction with the overall summer program, quality of staff, individualized goals and behavior ratings, campers’ enjoyment, and the ability to keep their child’s interest. Please see website for more information regarding program efficacy.
