Are you looking for a way to have a positive impact on your community? Are you thinking of future career working with kids? The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program could be just the thing for you! Many of our counselors started out as CIT’s themselves.
This two-week program allow CIT’s to gain practical experience working with campers by assisting counselors during classes, afternoon recreation activities, evening programs, and in cabins. Not only will CIT’s get hands-on leadership experience, they will also attend workshops from Directors and other leaders at camp on a variety of topics such as behavior and risk management, interviewing tips, and managing stress.
Selected CIT’s may be invited back to camp during the week of July 29-August 3 or August 5-10, to assist camp staff (this oportunity is voluntary and is not a requirement for participation in the CIT Program.)
CIT’s successfully completing the program will be considered for hire in 2013. CIT campers must attend two consecutive weeks. Housing and supervision is not avaialble over the weekend, requiring CIT’s to return home.
