    EBSCO Industries is seeking a Supply Chain Management Intern for the 2018 Summer term. This person will be working directly with the Corporate Supply Chain Logistics team located in Birmingham, AL. The Summer Internship Program allows students the opportunity to work on meaningful and exciting projects that will give them the hands-on experience they need to build a solid foundation for their future. The EBSCO Intern will have exposure to multiple EBSCO company divisions with a variety of different Supply Chain responsibilities and projects including but not limited to:

    • Process Improvement- analyzing current procurement flows and recommend changes
    • Customs/ International trade
    • Analysis of multi-mode logistics- cost as well as transit times
    • Manage routing including invoicing, filing guarantee refund claims and tracking/ tracing
    • Research of potential distribution location expansion
    • Review current warehouse layouts and recommend changes to optimize flow
    • Analyze RFP for LTL transportation purchases

    Requirements

    • Currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business degree with a concentration in Supply Chain at an accredited college or university
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills �
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
    • Must be able to pass MVR and have ability to travel within the state of AL
