    Jelly Belly Candy Company is seeking an archivist intern student to work with the company archivist in processing materials for the companys archives. The intern will help to organize, select, catalogue, and process materials that will be housed in the companys archives.

    Responsibilities

    Identify and assess the archival value of materials

    Process a collection, including physical arrangement (sorting, boxing, labeling)

    Inventory and produce a description of records

    Create database records

    Create collection guides and finding aids

    Requirements

    Completion of at least the introductory courses in archives principles and practices via an accredited library science program or public history program is preferred

    Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs

    Good communication, both written and verbal

    Strong organization skills

    A good visual memory

    Ability to take direction

    Ability to work independently

    Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

    Pay rate: $16/hr

    Schedule may be flexible but tentatively is as shown below:
    Monday: 6am – 1:30pm

    Tuesday: 9am – 4:30pm

    Wednesday: 9am – 4:30pm

    Thursday 9am – 4:30pm
