    The role of the SSD Firmware Engineer Intern is to work within a team that provides the technical capability in the creation and

    integration of Firmware IP for use in Micron’s SSD products. The lifecycle of this responsibility is associated with the organization’s

    product development life cycle and can range from product inception to obsolescence or any portion that is defined by specific

    assignments. Further, responsibility is to provide technical support to implement the development and quality assurance processes

    necessary to ensure the firmware IP consistently provides the required functionality, usability, quality/reliability, performance, and

    supportability to ensure Micron SSDs meet or exceed their design targets.

    Job Responsibilities:

    SSD Platform Firmware & Test Development

    “¢ Develop firmware subsystems for SSD products that meet or exceed the requirements of the technical specification

    matrix; including, but not limited to: Performance, Endurance, Capacity, Functionality, and Quality/Reliability.

    “¢ Develop tests to validate firmware subsystems and SSD controller hardware modules and features.

    Qualifications

    “¢ Multiple programming and/or embedded controller classes.

    “¢ Preferred proficiency in C (or C++) and Python

    Education

    Currently enrolled an a degree seeking program in EE, CE, or CS.
