  • Robotics and Controls Systems Engineering Intern

    As a member of the Robotics and Controls SW group you will be responsible for developing the algorithms and SW for the next generation of surgical robots. You will be identifying, designing and implementing new control modes and software features for Verb’s state of the art robotic system. You are also responsible for implementing and testing your code with hardware, troubleshooting bugs and implementing feature enhancements for the existing control modes.

    This individual will get experience working with some of the finest minds and problem solvers in an industry that is growing by leaps and bounds. You will be working alongside team members that are changing the face of healthcare. We are excited to have Robotics and Controls Engineers from outside the med-tech space, bringing new approaches, previous experiences and a fresh outlook to solve some of the most amazing challenges that the med-tech industry has seen.

    The successful candidate will experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will support Verb to bring robust and reliable products to the market. This role will include regular interface with our corporate partners, vendors and consultants.

    Required Qualifications and Experiences:

    • Enrolled in a MS or PhD program (or recent graduates) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
    • Experience in one of the following areas: Robotics, Controls and Motion Planning, VR/AR, Physics Simulations, SLAM, Mapping and Localization or Sensor Fusion.
    • Experience developing real-time SW in C++ with strong debugging skills
    • Strong background in object oriented programming
    • Strong background in Math and Physics

    Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:
    • HW/SW integration experience
