    ANSYS believes in developing our future engineers and technologists. We offer an enriching internship program for graduate students currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university.

    Our interns work on a variety of impactful projects. They develop and test our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in their field of study. This position will support the Fluids Business Unit. This internship is a 40-hour per week paid position starting May 2018 and concluding August 2018.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with software developers to design, implement, and debug
    • Create and maintain simulation products
    • Investigate and fix defects in production code
    • Develop unit and regression tests
    • Contribute to the development of software for graphical user interfaces, visualization, and computational algorithms
    • Learn and employ best software practices including design and code review

      Requirements

    • Pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
    • Exposure to C++, C#, Java or Python
    • Sharp and tenacious problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Team player, responsible, and motivated

      Desired Skills

    • Exposure to object oriented programming
    • Strong math skills
    • Specialization in combustion CFD development
