    As a Healthcare Quality Improvement Intern at Telligen, you will work side by side with our Quality Improvement staff on outreach and engagement efforts for community members, beneficiaries, and healthcare providers. You will work on healthcare quality improvement, beneficiary improvement, and provider community initiatives. These duties will include research, outreach, educating, data analysis and communication. You will see first-hand how Telligen is engaging communities, beneficiaries and health care providers to improve population health. If working on federal projects, you will learn more about Medicares value based purchasing initiatives, chronic disease prevention programs, and the unique challenges Colorado providers face. You will be involved in outreach and communication efforts with both providers, beneficiaries, and community members having the opportunity to learn how improving health and healthcare measures can impact the nation. This is a great opportunity for a Master-level student to see other aspects of healthcare and for Public Health or Wellness Master-level students to learn ways Telligen helps our customers improve the health care system and peoples lives.

    The Gig:

    • You will review data and conduct outreach to community members in at risk and chronic condition categories. You could also perform outreach to healthcare providers based on quality measures.
    • You will run reports and submit to leadership, communicating any trends.
    • You will analyze quality measures and help design clinical interventions to improve health outcomes.
    • You will support and teach chronic disease initiatives such as the diabetes self-management education classes
    What you need to make the cut:
    • Currently enrolled in a Colorado college or university studying Health Sciences, Public Health, Nursing or similar field at the Master level.
    • Passion for healthcare quality improvement and willingness to implement quality improvement techniques.
    • Creative problem-solving skills.
    • Self-motivated, self-managed approach to work.
    • Analytical skills with the desire to learn new technologies.
    • Enjoyment in working as a team to solve a problem.
    • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Software including Access, Excel, Word, and Skype.
    • This internship will be from February – July, 2018 and is part-time (15-20 hours/week during school year and 40 hour/week during summer months).
