    We are looking for user experience research interns to join our UX Research team. This is a great hands-on opportunity to learn about UX research in the financial technology industry. Interns will work along with UX researchers to plan, execute, and gain practical experience in many UX research techniques including usability studies, contextual inquiries, workflow analysis, and, surveys while working. Internships will run from 3-6 months, during which time interns will work at least 20hrs per week (accommodations will be made for course schedules).

    The ideal candidate will work well with people, have a strong understanding of user research principles, and be motivated to get user feedback that informs design and business decisions.

    Responsibilities:

  • Partner with experienced UX researchers to drive research efforts – planning, conducting, analyzing, and presenting user research studies.
  • Supporting UX researchers in executing the research studies – recruitment, scheduling users, and data collection.
  • Present research findings to stakeholders and peers.
  • Work cross-functionally with Designers, Product Developers, Engineers and other teams across the organization.
  • Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Psychology, Anthropology, HCI, Applied Research, Cognitive Science or other relevant UX fields.
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about user research and/or UX processes
  • Solid skills in with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Interest in understanding customer needs, motivations and behaviors.
  • Familiarity with user research tools, survey tools, and/or statistics tools would be a bonus.
  • Experience recruiting users.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Social, curious, empathetic, good observational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and collaborative spirit.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • We may request work samples in advance of interviews (these can include work completed in school).
