    A key to transforming discoveries into real-world industrial products and applications is using an agile Knowledge Management (KM) interface between science, biotechnology, regulatory compliance and product stewardship. The fast-growing, multidisciplinary KM approach to achieving organizational objectives is critical for success. Working with IB to apply Knowledge Management approaches will allow you the opportunity to create coveted skill sets that will stay with you throughout your career. We are currently seeking outstanding candidates for 2018 summer internships in our R&D and Business Center in Wilmington, Delaware.

    We are looking for driven and creative summer interns to work on knowledge management initiatives with our Product Stewardship and Regulatory (PS&R) team in the following areas:
    • Mapping of regulatory requirements for industries of interest
    • Support improvement of tools and processes to streamline PS&R workflows
    • Support work on PS&R relational compliance database
    • Support improvement of PS&R risk assessment processes and documentation.

    Job Qualifications

    The ideal candidates will be pursuing degrees in regulatory affairs/regulatory science, public policy, industrial hygiene, public health, toxicology, safety, health & environment or allied fields and be familiar with chemical sciences, life sciences, or biotechnology in relevant areas. The intern must be an individual who is detail oriented, friendly, and thrives in a highly collaborative environment.

    Qualified candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
    • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Regulatory Sci, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
    • Have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework and will continue your education in the fall
    • Have the ability to work in an interdisciplinary scientific and business setting
    • High level of initiative and the ability to work in a team environment
    • Exhibit exceptional knowledge management or content management skills
    • Exhibit exceptional skills with tools such as SharePoint, Open Text, Microsoft Access
    • Ability to document results, analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate findings
    • Familiarity with theoretical and practical aspects in related areas of knowledge management, information systems, business process and analytics, and/or library sciences
    Our Experimental Station R&D Center offers an intensive 12-week science internship program, in which interns develop a project and take part in a variety of learning activities. DuPont Industrial Biosciences interns get exposure to a broad range of scientific disciplines and business processes. At the end of the program you’ll deliver a presentation of your ideas and findings, developing practical real-life skills. Our interns are paid a competitive hourly rate and are responsible for their own housing and transportation for the summer.
