  • Overall Responsibility:

    The program provides highly motivated and qualified students an opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and heighten business knowledge. Collaborate side by side with employees in a variety of positions on challenging projects, interact with all levels of management and senior leaders, and gain insight into business and technology in the insurance industry.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Completes assigned projects in a timely manner.
    • Participates in cross-team meet and greets/job shadowing.
    • Completes overall project presentation (Powerpoint) and presents to Leadership Group upon completion of internship.
    • Minimal travel required.
    • Assist configuring and shipping AP’s, assist with preparing network hardware (routers/switches) for deployment (i.e. updating IOS, port configurations). Additional responsibilities will include updating SolarWinds as sites are moved over to Cisco Call Manager. If time allows, handle basic telephony configurations.
    • Attend team meetings and learn how BTS Network Operation Center (NOC) and Network teams operate. Work with EMS to understand enterprise monitoring and the tools used.
    • Candidate should be able to lift boxes weighting up to 30 pounds.
    • Basic knowledge of network switches, TCP/IP addressing, comfortable using computers and web based applications.

    • One year or two years college experience would be ideal.
