    Background: After winning three USL Pro regular season championships and two postseason titles over a four-year span, Orlando City SC quickly set the standard for professional soccer clubs both on and off the field and was awarded the 21st Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise on Nov. 19, 2013. The Lions played their first two seasons in MLS at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, where they held the second-highest average attendance in MLS. In 2016, the Club launched Orlando Pride in the National Womens Soccer League (NWSL) and Orlando City B in the United Soccer League (USL).
    In March 2017, Orlando City SC unveiled its brand new, privately financed downtown stadium. With a capacity of 25,500 fans, Orlando City Stadium creates the most exciting game-day experience for fans in the country.

    Position Summary:The Marketing Intern will report to the Manager of Marketing and Fan Engagement. This position will assist with the daily marketing activities of the Club, including but not limited to, coordination of Team City events, grassroots marketing efforts, gameday responsibilities and marketing events. We seek someone with a strong grasp of our culture, superior organization skills, an unequalled work-ethic and a creative mind to help us achieve our goals.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Assist with planning and logistics for Team City, and assume leadership role within the team.
    • Manage Team City social media accounts.
    • Manage our mascot, Kingstons Instagram Account.
    • Creatively come up with unique content for Kingston.
    • Coordinate Club marketing events.
    • Gameday responsibilities including fanzone set up, operation and breakdown, as well as coordinating deliverables for gameday talent.
    • Work with various internal and external parties to implement in-office events.
    • Research concepts for various aspects of gameday production.
    • Manage inventory and storage of marketing collateral materials.
    • Assist with LionNation fulfillment including management of membership program and other deliverables.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Intern must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during the Spring semester (January 2018 through May 2018).
    • MBA/Graduate level candidates preferred.
    • Minimum of 6 months of sports marketing experience.
    • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects and timelines.
    • Knowledge of marketing, promotions and event planning.
    • Exceptional creative abilities; looking to push the envelope and develop and implement fresh ideas.
    • Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, within a team atmosphere.
    • Academic credit required.
