    The Leo Burnett Internship Program, recognized by Business Insider as one of the top 20 programs in the country, is designed to give bright, curious individuals the best, most realistic internship experience in the advertising industry. Our interns are embraced as contributing employees of the agency, and are expected to deliver on the big campaignable Humankind ideas that the agency is known for worldwide. Participants work alongside the top talent in the industry.

    This paid 10-week program runs June 4 – August 10, and is available to incoming college seniors and recent graduates. Applications will be accepted online through March 31, 2018 and we will notify selected candidates in April/May.

    Program highlights include:

    • Lunch & Learns – Gain an understanding of the creative process and the role of each agency discipline.
    • Intern Pitch Project ““ Experience the full life cycle of an agency pitch, and get hands-on skills in collaboration, problem solving, presentation skills, and work process.
    • Cultural Gatherings – Join fellow interns and agency staff to enjoy the best Chicago has to offer.

    If you believe that creativity has the power to change human behavior, we have a place for you to join a passionate group of creative thinkers and makers. We’re looking for an intern with experience in visual design and who has a passion for creating engaging digital interfaces, robust site functionality and interaction patterns. Ideally, you’re just as comfortable infusing brand thinking into an interface as you are in extending a design system across digital programs. And, you have an innate sense of what consumers need and want in the digital space and in real life.

    What we want:
    Conceptual thinking balanced with flawless execution.
    Overarching knowledge of industry tools and effective design methodologies.
    Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to drive work forward.
    Vision in creating design solutions and systems that will stand the test of time.
    Insight into how design intersects with business, brand and technology.
    Adaptability to quick pace and changing environments
    Interest in what’s on the horizon with technology and design.

    What you’ll do:
    Engage with cross-disciplinary teams including, strategy, technology, content and brand creatives.
    Design branded experiences that move from sketches to high-fidelity interfaces.
    Apply color theory and design principles to produce best aesthetics and ease of use.
    Identify resuable visual and interaction patterns for a comprehensive design system.
    Create prototypes to communicate design direction and benchmark usability performance.
    Present design work in a way that demonstrates understanding of business and consumer goals.
    Communicate design and interaction specifications to technology partners.
    Participate in user acceptance tests and propose solutions to resolve defects.
    Share knowledge across creative team and help identify process improvements.

    Your qualifications:

    Undergraduate or grauate degree in design-related field.
    Self-motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
    Proficiency with Photoshop and Invision. Experience with Principle and Axure desired.
    Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web based implementation techniques
    Animation/Motion experience a plus
