    The Leo Burnett Internship Program, recognized by Business Insider as one of the top 20 programs in the country, is designed to give bright, curious individuals the best, most realistic internship experience in the advertising industry. Our interns are embraced as contributing employees of the agency, and are expected to deliver on the big campaignable Humankind ideas that the agency is known for worldwide. Participants work alongside the top talent in the industry.

    This paid 10-week program runs June 4 – August 10, and is available to incoming college seniors and recent graduates. Applications will be accepted online through March 31, 2018 and we will notify selected candidates in April/May.

    Program highlights include:

    • Lunch & Learns – Gain an understanding of the creative process and the role of each agency discipline.
    • Intern Pitch Project ““ Experience the full life cycle of an agency pitch, and get hands-on skills in collaboration, problem solving, presentation skills, and work process.
    • Cultural Gatherings – Join fellow interns and agency staff to enjoy the best Chicago has to offer.

    We work on a full-range of digital projects, from rollover and rich online advertising, games, mobile devices, kiosks, promotional and product-launch microsites, to robust ” brand.com” web sites and redesigns.

    We are looking for a Web Development intern to join our team this summer.

    The web development intern will gain hands on experience harnessing technology to enable a wide range of innovative interactive experiences. Through an equal blend of precision programming along with an element of code alchemy and exploration, the intern will learn to utilize various front-end scripting languages and development tools to construct highly functional, rich applications.

    We are looking for someone who has:

    · A passion for creating beautiful and effective work

    · Enjoys technical problem solving, leveraging front-end programming languages to define core application logic, manipulate data and visual elements, creating rich interactive interfaces

    · Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools, workflow and productivity

    · Knowledge of and practices Object-Oriented Programming principles

    Job Functions
    · Works on a variety of projects including Websites, Online Advertising, Mobile Apps, Games, Social Widgets, Digital Signage and Interactive Installations, across a wide variety of brands and clients
    · Learn a range of programming languages and development tools, to build interactive applications
    · Become familiar with the entire project lifecycle including concept and design, pitching, prototyping, development, production, quality assurance and testing, deployment and maintenance phases

    • Learn more about development possibilities and realities and how to communicate to project team.
    • Develop reusable, flexible, accurate, well-documented code for broad user base.
    • Work closely with QA Analysts and senior team members.
    • Learn to clearly documents code, testing results, and application changes in a timely fashion.
    • Provide maintenance of their own personal development environments.

    All Web Developer Interns must submit/attach coding samples (*required*)
