    The Big Data team within the Audience Methods organization supports U.S. Television and Digital Audience Measurement initiatives at Nielsen. These responsibilities include developing and implementing foundational methodologies across products, researching critical methodology enhancements for existing products, and assisting with quality initiatives. The team’s current primary focus includes integrating big data with traditional panel measurement into the TV and Digital Audience Measurement services.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support complex research projects from beginning to end — direct project planning, develop innovative new methodologies, enhance existing methodologies, run simulations and analyses, etc.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to productionalize, validate, and optimize methodologies
    • Summarize, document, and communicate research findings to audiences of varying levels of subject matter expertise

    Qualifications:

    • Strong programming ability, preferably in python, SQL, and Spark
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interest in developing data science fundamentals
    • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, social sciences, biological/physical sciences; Masters preferred
