  • The Field Museum is pleased to announce the Anthropology Alliance’s Summer Fieldwork Internship program. These internships will allow highly qualified candidates to conduct up to three months of fieldwork with Dr. Ryan Williams (Excavations at Cerro Baul, Peru, Contisuyo Archaeological Field School) during the summer months.The Museum seeks highly qualified, dedicated, and energetic interns to assist our dynamic anthropological field research program. Qualified candidates must be first- or second-year graduate students in anthropology. Successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, fieldwork experience, and a demonstrated commitment to long-term anthropological research. Interested candidates must seek a letter of support from Dr Ryan Williams.

    APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

    Interested candidates should submit the following documents directly to the Anthropology Internship Committee:

    • Cover letter
    • Resume
    • Letter of support from curator
    • Budget for requested funding (to be developed with sponsoring curator)
    • Transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
    • One letter of recommendation
    • One page essay outlining current research interests
