    Reports to (title):Accounting Manager

    Department: Accounting & Finance

    Employment Status: Non-exempt

    Summary of Responsibilities: Supports the finance, billing, invoicing team engaged with various duties. May include auditing and entering snow removal billing detail. Assists the Accounting Staff with special projects, account reconciliations, auditing, and the preparation/verification of reports. Works closely with staff and management across the organization on various projects and initiatives to improve processes and procedures to further drive the growth and success of the company.

    Should be local to Newport, KY – there is no relocation for this role.

    Position Responsibilities:
    • Works with the Finance team to complete department goals.
    • Monitors work load of the Accounts Payable Specialist and troubleshoots provider processing issues.
    • Prepares and reviews assigned account reconciliations.
    • Assists with general accounting month-end closing procedures.
    • Works closely with finance and non-finance organizations (including but not limited to sales, marketing, HR, IT and Sales) staff and management across the organization on various projects and initiatives.
    • Assists Accounting Manager with special reporting and analysis projects.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

    Selection Criteria:

    • Must possess strong mathematical skills.
    • Ideally should have a general understanding of accounting practices.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, project management and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be detail oriented with an inquisitive ability for problem solving.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Should be a current Junior or Senior
    • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or related field.
    • Must currently have a GPA of 3.6 or above.
    Computer skills and knowledge of hardware & software required:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
