    Job Information

    Abrams Little-Gill Loberfeld PC is looking for senior undergraduate students and graduate students for their paid internship program for tax season (January-April).

    Responsibilities

    • Pre-prep and preparation of tax work papers and returns for 1040s and 1041s.
    • Validating all physical information is within the electronic file and organized according to the flow of the type of tax return the work papers are associated with.
    • Identifying and listing open items and missing information during the preparation of the returns.
    • Updating work papers, inputting new information within the return and reviewing the return before sending it to a manager or partner for review.

    May also be assigned special projects such as bookkeeping (using QuickBooks/Quicken), entering in trial balances for corporation/partnership returns, IRS correspondence letters, state tax filing requirement research, etc.

    One full week of training is provided to learn the software programs the firm uses, what each tax form is, where information is inputted, and where information flows on each return.

    Requirements

    Minimum of 40 hours per week with the ability to work over-time. Flexible schedule/hours to accommodate course schedule (except for the week of training ““ ” normal hours” will be required)

    Graduate students preferred but would consider senior undergraduate students as well.
