    Spire is seeking an enthusiastic, career minded student or recent graduate to join our operation in Kansas City, MO. Our paid internship position affords students the opportunity to learn and be mentored. As an Intern, you may complete various projects and perform administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and natural gas industry. To be considered, you must:

    • Be a currently enrolled college student or new grad.
    • Have advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and complete projects based on departmental needs
    • Work within various aspects of the construction and maintenance departments including but not limited to, new construction, replacement, compliance work, engineering, leak investigation and repair.
    • Accurate documentation of maps and measurements within the system.
    • Communicate project status and results to staff and management.
    • Perform administrative functions as needed in the office and field.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    None

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High school education or equivalent.
    • Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant degree
    • Must have at least 1 year of general work experience.
    • Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions

    Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver license:

    Valid Driver’s License

    Work Environment: Will involve both office and field environments including uneven terrain, inclement weather and large equipment. Must have leather steel toe boots.
