    INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

    Jack Henry’s Continuous Process Improvement department is responsible for creating and supporting the infrastructure for improvement activities through a customer focused, data driven, systematic approach for continuous improvement of products, services and processes. Employees work in teams to ensure and standardize processes by eliminating defects and reducing cycle times through incremental change.

    JHA’s CPI department is looking for a detail-oriented, innovative student to participate in their 2018 summer internship. Qualified candidates will work on select process improvement projects across the company, as well as aid in the development of BU Process Scorecards and CPI dashboards. A student will be expected to participate in project meetings and utilize specific project management applications to prepare status reports and detailed documentation.

    The Jack Henry & Associates summer internship will provide a student with practical work experience and strengthen their technical & business skills working within a professional team environment. During this 10-week, paid internship, interns will work on projects that are pertinent to the needs of the Customer Experience department. Interns will gain realistic career experience to add to their resume through goal-orientated objectives and frequent professional feedback. Internships are 40-hour work weeks packed with learning and networking opportunities. The summer begins with an orientation week and concludes with a final project showcase. Because we are unable to provide housing, students should have access to housing in the area the internship position is located.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Students must:

    • Attend an accredited college or university.
    • Pursue a bachelor’s degree in: General Business, Management, Analysis of Institutions and Organizations, Computer Engineering, Data Science and Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology.
    • Have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
    • Remain in good academic standing throughout internship.
    • Meet JHA employment requirements.
    • Be able to work up to 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
    • Be a junior or senior student (sophomore year completed) at the beginning of internship.
    • Meet legal requirements to work in the U.S. for an indefinite period of time.
