        Job Overview

        TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 ““ 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.

        TE Connectivity has an EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) summer internship available in Greensboro, NC. This position will be within the Automotive Business Unit and will be based at our manufacturing sites.

        The Greensboro campus has been recognized as a leader in environmental compliance, sustainability, and initiative by the State of North Carolina. Serving as a Steward in North Carolina’s Environmental Stewardship Initiative, the Greensboro site is a model for other sites seeking to improve their own environmental performance. Their status as Stewards also allows the site the opportunity to benchmark against, and learn from, other environmental leaders in the State. TE is continuously looking for the best and brightest candidates to join our team, to learn, and to bring fresh ideas and best practices for continual improvement.

        Responsibilities & Qualifications

        Responsibilities:

        • Under direct supervision, perform basic and routine duties across a wide range of environmental disciplines to ensure continued compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements
        • Participate in reviewing and identifying improvement opportunities for environmental programs, processes, systems and initiatives
        • Actively participate on the campus’ environmental and energy teams by researching, proposing, and leading new environmental/sustainability initiatives

        Qualifications:

        • The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented sophomore or junior currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field and who meets the following qualifications:
          • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
          • Previous experience in an environmental, health or safety role within a manufacturing environment
          • Must be a dynamic team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
          • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
          • Basic understanding of OSHA and/or EPA regulations, preferred
