        Job Overview

        TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 ““ 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.

        TE Connectivity has a Supplier MRF (Material Replenishment Flow) summer internship available in the Greensboro/Winston Salem, NC area within the Automotive Americas business unit. This position is responsible for developing and deploying the Continuous Improvement (TEOA) model and Value Stream design to our suppliers, integrating suppliers with our Lean Materials Flow Boot camps and driving flawless execution with TEOA tools and methods that are flexible, reliable, and responsive.

        Responsibilities & Qualifications

        Responsibilities:

        • Support the TEOA Lean MRF Lead and Lean Supplier Coordinator with the identification of production requirements within the Value Stream ensuring alignment with process departments (molding, stamping, plating, etc.) on needed capacity and priorities to achieve the Value Stream goals along with the development and deployment of appropriate planning, replenishment and signaling tools and methodologies aligned with PFEP.
        • Support the integration of previously unconnected processes (departments) into one interconnected extended value stream as seen from the customer’s perspective.
        • Support the development and utilization of current and future state value stream maps to identify strategic projects and corresponding rolling 6-month implementation plans that are aligned with the company’s strategic direction.
        • Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way life; creating a culture of change.
        • Work with internal/external suppliers and customers to improve the total enterprise (extended VSM) using the TEOA system.
        • Assist in defining and supporting standardized programs to educate suppliers and employees in the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
        • Assist in the identification and cross leverage of best practices across the suppliers.

        Qualifications:

        The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented student working towards a Master’s Degree/MBA in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Business Administration and meet the following qualifications:

          • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0.
          • Motivated individual able to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision.
          • A clear communicator who is able to speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management.
          • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and with global team members.
          • Fluent in English, reading, writing, and speaking English language.
          • Proficient with MS-Office products ““ SAP background is a plus.
