    Essential Job Duties

    Citizenship North Carolina Focus

    • Design and conduct registration activity for delegates
    • Update pre-conference information for delegates
    • Help lead CNCF youth and adult planning team including planning team meetings
    • Design and lead thank you note writing activity for youth and adults
    • Write and edit event scripts
    • Help design and lead legislative prep session for delegates
    • Prepare county invoices
    • Organize legislative information packets for counties””including updating materials, helping to prepare talking points etc. and putting the packets together
    • Assist with meal selection, hotel set up, lodging arrangements
    • Create county registration packets including nametags, agenda etc.
    • Help as needed with Legislative Breakfast preparation
    • Assist with workshop preparation
    • Pull all supplies for event and load/unload at hotel
    • Be present during the entire event and help as needed with a positive and cheerful attitude.
    • Other duties as requested

    NC 4-H Congress

    • Order and pick up state officer trays and plaques
    • Help update, edit, and proof event program.
    • Help with t-shirt and meal orders
    • Prepare county invoices
    • Secure stage plants through our contact including picking them up, delivering and setting them up as well as returning them.
    • Assist with nametag preparation in addition to other materials for agents packets.
    • Update ipod songs and create an event appropriate list of music
    • Double check and secure needed supplies for candlelight ceremony.
    • Write and edit event scripts
    • Make sure we have all the music we need for the week
    • Clean out and organize election tub
    • Make, print and frame certificates for the week
    • Make and print reserved signs and other needed signage for the week.
    • Update powerpoints as requested
    • Update/print extra banquet tickets
    • Help assemble registration materials
    • Secure, organize, pack and deliver all needed event supplies
    • Help lead State Officer team in tasks prior to Congress
    • Help with preparation for special events during Congress.
    • Be present during the entire event and help as needed with a positive and cheerful attitude. Follow the daily schedule for your job making sure all tasks are taken care of.
    • Other duties as requested

    Minimum Experience/Education

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Departmental Required Skills

    • Applicant must be 18 years of age or older, possess a positive attitude, professionalism and have the ability to work independently and follow directions.
    • Applicant must be organized, timely, possess strong communication skills and be able to competently use computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and well as have a knowledge of and willingness to work with Google apps.
    • Applicant must also be able to help move large/heavy objects such as boxes and conference materials.
    • Applicant must be able to work the following dates ““ including staying overnight at the conference facility.

    Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

    • Preference will be given to those with experience in the 4-H program, specifically to those who have attended either Citizenship North Carolina Focus or NC 4-H Congress.
