    Summer Intern

    The Communication Media Marketing Summer internship offers students and recent graduates an opportunity to explore the communications and marketing field by participating in meetings, program planning, exploratory interviews and community events and projects. Duties may include one or more of the following assignments, depending upon an intern’s interest, experience level and internship duration:

    • Conduct community research and compile information
    • Provide community outreach during health fairs and special events
    • Distribute health materials (i.e. fliers) at various locations within the community
    • Create health content for use in emails, marketing materials
    • Participate in activities offered during internship
    • Assist with BestHealth events as time allows

    Educational Requirements:

    This position is best suited for students or recent graduates with a high level of interest in communications and marketing fields. Preferred academic majors include Public Relations/Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related fields. Interns must be at least 18 years of age with some college coursework completed.

    Skills, Training or Qualifications:

    Interns must have excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills and basic computer knowledge and experience. The ideal candidate is outgoing, able to interact with diverse populations and committed to learning, attending meetings and connecting with the fast pace of marketing and communications professionals.
