    Union Pacific is accepting online applications for an internship position in the Corporate Giving function of Corporate Relations in Omaha, Nebraska. The intern will support the Sr Manager, Corporate Relations with the overall management of the Company’s philanthropic programs.

    This internship is designed to provide a student with hands-on opportunities in a fast-paced business environment in one of America’s leading companies.

    Accountabilities

    • Assist with reviewing and processing applications for the Community Grants program
    • Respond and follow up to daily email, voicemail and mail correspondence related to corporate giving programs
    • Help track events and sponsorships
    • Assist with processing and reconciling monthly gift transactions
    • Assist with project management for various company initiatives
    • Complete administrative tasks and special projects
    Qualifications

    Required

    • College credits equivalent to two years towards an undergraduate degree and currently enrolled in a college degree program with earned credits equivalent to two years toward an undergraduate degree in Business, Public Administration or other closely related field. Preference is given to those working towards a graduate degree in a related field.
    • Proficient communication skills skills including strong writing skills.
    • Advanced planning and organizational skills skills, creativity and professionalism in a fast paced environment.
    • Basic project management skills including the ability to plan and manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

    Preferred

    • 1 year(s) experience in corporate communications
    • Proficient Microsoft Suite skills
