    Internships at Delaware North

    Delaware North provides a fun, fast-paced and friendly environment for its interns, offering students an inside look on working for a global hospitality company. Internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit! Opportunities are available at our Corporate Headquarters in Buffalo, NY – an iconic 12-story glass walled structure on the corner of Delaware and Chippewa. The headquarters integrates the latest advances in environmental, energy conservation and office design and features cutting-edge technology.     • Semester internship dates: Immediate ““ August 2018
    • Hours: 20+/week
    • Pay: $12 per/hour for undergraduate students

    $17 per/hour for graduate students

    • Must be a current student in an undergraduate or graduate degree program

    The Opportunity

    Responsibilities:
    • Provide support to Health & Welfare Manager in the areas of cost analysis and modeling, compliance, plan design, new programs and acquisition integration.
    • Cost modeling to support collective bargaining negotiations, projects and initiatives.
    • Obtain census data and create benefit comparisons for newly acquired groups to support integration.
    • Creation and maintenance of Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions and other required documents and disclosures for all H&W benefit plans.
    • Accurate and timely preparation of required government filings such as 5500s. Includes coordination with vendors regarding required schedules and documents needed to support filings.
    • Support the Equifax accurate and timely preparation of required Affordable Care Act filings such as forms 1095 and 1094.
    • Assist in leading the strategy surrounding wellness, open enrollment processes and other benefit related communication materials.
    • Participate in other Human Resources/Total Rewards related projects as needed

    Requirements:

    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
    • Desired degree: MBA candidate, Human Resources or related field
    • Strong proficiency in MS Office ““ advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations appropriately
