  • Summary:

    The student internship role provides the student with valuable hands-on exposure to many facets of the construction-engineering interface, including engineering inspection of structural elements, code enforcement, and materials testing methods. The student intern will learn codes governing the construction of engineered structures, standard test methods for materials testing, and how they are employed on the job site.

    Responsibilities:

    Test and inspect construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, hot mix asphalt, spray applied fireproofing, etc. for quality control/quality assurance in a laboratory setting, on construction job sites, and in material batch plants.
    Light day-travel required and occasional overnight travel. Company vehicles available for use or mileage reimbursement available.

    Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent
    Currently enrolled in a degreed program for Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related
    Valid NYS Driver’s License
