  • Swell is looking for a Creative Intern to support the creative aspects of our social media channel. Reporting to our VP, Creative Director, this Internship will focus on assisting the creative department with the creation and development of creative assets including content creation and project organization.

    What youll do:

    • Aid in content creation of new ideas for social media and art
    • Brainstorm and attend meetings to assist with strategy and provide creative ideas
    • Assist in photo and video shoots as needed
    • Generate creative style guides for all social media channels

    What you’ll have:

    • Passion for the Swell brand and interest in the consumer product industry
    • Currently pursuing a degree in the arts or relevant prior internship experience
    • Strong interest in creative, design, art, and photography
    • Previous experience using key graphic design software packages (specifically Adobe)
    • Previous experience in Paid Social Media a plus
    • Eager to work in fast paced start-up environment
    • Self-starter, problem solver and high level of comfort with ambiguity
    • High degree of creativity and a sense of style, design and aesthetics
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Active listening and strong written/verbal communication skills
    • Takes initiative and demonstrates out of the box thinking

    What you should know about the Swell Internship Program:

    • The 2018 Summer Internship runs 10 weeks total from June 4th through August 10th
    • Interns must be able to work Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm (1 hour will be designated for lunch)
    • Interns should be students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
    • Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students will have first consideration
    • Swells headquarters is in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York City; all Interns should have transportation and/or housing in or around the NYC area
    • This is a paid Internship and therefore credit is not required, however credit can be given when necessary
    • All Interns must have proper authorization to work in the United States
    • In addition to the above responsibilities, all Interns will be given the opportunity to use the skills theyve learned throughout the Summer to put together a presentation on a topic of their supervisors choosing. The topics will focus on ways to improve processes, products, designs, and territories at Swell
