    The Innovation group within Enterprise is responsible for business and product development. Working with our colleagues across debt and equity business lines, the Innovation group analyzes emerging ideas and financing strategies in order to develop game-changing solutions for Enterprise and for the industry. We value creativity, collaboration, and rigor in everything we do.

    This summer, the Innovation group is seeking a summer fellow to contribute to our product development work.

    This is a paid internship, for 10 weeks

    Job Responsibilities
    Impact Investing is investing with the intention of realizing defined social impact alongside financial returns. Impact Investing is an investment strategy that can be used to produce community benefit such as economic development, healthcare efficiencies, education improvements, workforce development, and more. Enterprise has been engaged in this strategy since our inception and we are committed to nurturing increasing participation in the field. We see an immediate need and opportunity to develop efficient solutions that match supply-side capital with demand-side products.

    • CDFI Index

    In collaboration with others in the CDFI industry, Enterprise is working to develop a first-of-its-kind CDFI Index that will serve as a benchmark for the performance of the field’s impact investments. The SVP and Managing Director of Impact Investing is seeking a summer fellow to contribute to the collaborative’s work. This will include researching relevant indices precedents, analyzing historic performance data, and brainstorming investable products that can be linked to the index.

    • Opportunity360 Social Venture Fund

    Enterprise Community Partners is also contemplating creating an investment product to provide growth capital to mission-aligned enterprises serving low-income individuals and communities. We are seeking a summer fellow to support the SVP and Managing Director of Impact Investing, in the initial R&D phase of this initiative. The summer intern will work closely with the SVP to refine the fund’s business model, articulate the investment policy, and define the pipeline development strategy.

    Qualifications
    • MBA or MPA candidate, or recent grad.
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for social change, a commitment to applying business skills to achieve positive social impact
    • Strong analytical skills, including ability to frame a thesis and articulate a method for testing it out
    • Strong project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work with different functional teams and to drive the project to finish line
    • Financial modeling skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, especially ability to coordinate and carry on conversations with government organizations, foundations and banking partners
    • Ability to work independently

      Preferred Experience

    • Capital markets background; experience in structuring / modeling a plus
    • Private wealth management and/or other investor development experience a plus
