  • Swell is looking for an excellent problem-solver with a great attitude to support our Social Media team for Summer 2018. The ideal candidate will be social-savvy, creative, analytical, and passionate about representing Swells online presence and keeping fans up-to-date.

    What youll do:

    • Help to manage the updating and organization of Swells influencer database
    • Assist in daily content creation and scheduling
    • Assist with monthly reports and analytics
    • Help with product send-outs and gifting
    • Assist with social media coverage at brand and partnerships events
    • Create trend and tech reports for the team
    • Assist with influencer, media, and partnership activations

    What you’ll have:

    • Passion for the Swell brand
    • You must have an active presence on all major social media platforms
    • Relevant coursework or prior internship experience required; emphasis in Journalism, English, or Communications a plus
    • An attitude which is positive, adaptable, and flexible
    • Knowledge of current tech, culture, and Internet happenings
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience in Google Docs and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of the influencer space
    • Knowledge of social media management & analytic tools a plus

    What you should know about the Swell Internship Program:

    • The 2018 Summer Internship runs 10 weeks total from June 4th through August 10th
    • Interns must be able to work Monday through Friday 10am to 5pm (1 hour will be designated for lunch)
    • Interns should be students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
    • Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students will have first consideration
    • Swells headquarters is in the Flatiron neighborhood of New York City; all Interns should have transportation and/or housing in or around the NYC area
    • This is a paid Internship and therefore credit is not required, however credit can be given when necessary
    • All Interns must have proper authorization to work in the United States
    • In addition to the above responsibilities, all Interns will be given the opportunity to use the skills theyve learned throughout the Summer to put together a presentation on a topic of their supervisors choosing. The topics will focus on ways to improve processes, products, designs, and territories at Swell
