    ABOUT THE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT MBA INTERNSHIP:

    The Knot’s Local Marketplace is a two-sided marketplace that helps couples discover and connect with their dream team of wedding vendors, and helps vendors grow and transform their business into the one they’ve always wanted. The Local Marketplace is XO’s largest revenue business unit, spanning 250 people across our NYC, Austin, Omaha, and China offices. The Local Product team consists of 5 squads, each consisting of a product manager, product designer, tech lead, and software engineers. The VP, Product for Local Marketplace is seeking a Product Management MBA intern to assist in exploring new product opportunities, extracting insights from product & business metrics, and assisting in strategy development.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Extracting insights from product & business metrics
    • Collaborating with product marketing and the squads to implement features that improve KPIs based on user science (qual + quant)
    • Assisting in product strategy development with Local leads
    • Exploring new product opportunities
    • Assisting in the pricing, packaging, and validating of a new advertising product
    • Exposure to the squads’ product development process and activities

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Customer-centric thinking:

    • You are able to acquire empathy for the needs of our couples and our wedding vendors
    • You always looks for solutions that both solve user problems and drive the business with impact

  • Strong data analysis skills:
    • You can see what others can’t when you look at data

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills:
    • You can make complex topics easy to understand

  • Passion:
    • You are fascinated by marketplaces, e-commerce, SaaS, advertising, and small businesses
    • Yes, we touch all of them

  • Growth mindset:
    • You’re going to be asked to do a lot that you’ve never done before.

    You must be enrolled Masters program for this internship. This is a paid internship and school credit is optional.
