    SUMMARY
    ANSYS believes in developing our future engineers and technologists. We offer an enriching internship program for graduate students currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university.

    Our interns work on a variety of impactful projects. They develop and test our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in their field of study. Interns may support any of our business units, including but not limited to the following:

    • Design Business Unit
    • Platform Development Unit
    • Licensing & Install Unit
    • Mechanical Business Unit
    • Release Management Unit
    • Fluids Business Unit
    • Semiconductor Business Unit

      This internship is a 40-hour per week paid position starting August/September and concluding December 2018.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and develop system state of the art electromagnetics, circuit and simulators
    • Contribute to the development of numerical algorithms and high-performance computational software
    • Create benchmarks, performance metrics, and device models
    • Investigate and fix defects in production code
    • Develop unit and regression tests
    • Learn and employ best software practices including design and code review

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Pursuing a MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related technical field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
    • Knowledge of scientific programming in C/C++
    • Sharp and tenacious problem solving skills
    • Team player, responsible, and motivated

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • ANSYS software experience
