    Job Responsibilities

    Research and Analysis

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of legal issues utilizing available online research tools, internet resources, or printed legal resources.
    • Research and evaluate state and federal regulations, sub-regulatory guidance, and agency contracts that govern all aspects of the origination and servicing of student loans and PHEAA-administered State Grant and Special Programs.
    • Review and summarize regulatory enforcement actions and create a tracking mechanism documenting results.

    Draft Legal Memoranda, Correspondence, and Documents

    • Draft form legal documents including preparation of subpoenas and notices of depositions; preparing entries of appearance, standard form interrogatories, and standard requests for requests for production; prepare summaries of discovery responses, and other work which requires a similar level of training, skill and experience.
    • Upon completion of research and analysis, develop draft appropriate legal memoranda, correspondence, and documents as requested by PHEAA Attorneys.

    Job Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum qualifications: Current enrollment in a Paralegal certification program, Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s degree paralegal program from an ABA approved program.
