    Category Strategy and Insights Co-op

    Summary

    We are seeking top talent that has a passion for winning and making a difference. The US Sales Category Strategy and Insights Co-Op position at The Hershey Company provides a launch pad for our future sales leaders. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our customers, analyze customer and shopper insights to build selling stories, and develop your business acumen skills. What is Category Strategy and Insights (CSI)? A mix of sales, marketing, and marketing research Our CSI department researches and analyzes data to understand the present and utilize that information to impact the future. Some of the ways a CSI Manager influences the marketplace is by making strategic recommendations on: item assortment, product placement, promotions, and pricing. Responsibilities You will have a chance to interact and network with Retail Sales Representatives, CSI Managers, and Customer Sales Executives from across the country. This unique cultural experience is geared toward building your selling, negotiating, and analytical skills with an understanding of how you fit into the VISION Milton Hershey created over 100 years ago. Successful interns will be offered full-time, entry level Sales positions with The Hershey Company, and throughout your career Hershey will help you define and pursue a career path that matches your interests, skill set, and ability to meet challenges. As your career advances, you will cross job functions, business segments, and geographic boundaries as you gain knowledge and expertise in three key areas: collaborative customer and account planning, insights driven selling/category development, and leadership. Co-Op positions available:

    Front End Team Co-Op

    · Front End Team Responsibilities

    · Providing plan-o-gram analysis and recommendations

    · Providing analysis for customer presentations

    · Assisting in financial analysis of Front End customer programs

    · Managing Front End Team website

    Merchandising Excellence Team Co-Op

    · Setting up and assisting with meetings for the top customers which focused on insights to drive their business in merchandising, promotional, and overall sales

    · Tracking a weekly inventory report for all merchandising units from the five suppliers

    · Working on innovation and display projects which focus on driving conversion by creating an improved shopper experience

    · Pulling quarterly reports for the Front End/ Convenience Store Team focusing on under the counter rack projects as well as other custom projects

    Home Office Co-Op Team

    · Work cross functionally to support CSI, Sales, Marketing and Go To Market teams

    · Support monthly reports corresponding to a Nielsen data release to analyze brand ad performance, regional analysis, new item opportunity and growth, and customer level analysis of the entire confection category

    · Generate an analysis of major distribution opportunities based on item level velocities across all classes of trade

    · Create Planograms and PowerPoint presentations using latest data and business tools to provide customer level support

    Retail Development Co-Op

    · Support monthly reports corresponding to a Nielsen data release to analyze Hershey performance and customer level analysis of the entire confection category

    · Support weekly Walmart reporting to provide analysis of sales performance by Area/District across all key packtypes

    · Retail coverage of 10 food stores that utilize insights from reports created to provide solutions that will drive sales for both Hershey and the retailer

    Qualifications the successful candidates will be/have:

    · A current undergraduate Junior or Senior with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher (preference is 3.2 or higher). Majors in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Economics are highly preferred, but others will be considered

    · Demonstrated leadership and academic achievement in student and extracurricular activities

    · High level of integrity

    · Desire to relocate
