    Position Summary

    Chubb is currently seeking a summer finance intern to join the Global Shared Services organization from June 1, 2018 August 15, 2018. This role is part of a larger IT Finance team that supports the IT organization.

    A summer internship at Chubb within the Global Shared Services organization will provide an opportunity to engage in some entry level activities that will serve as a building block to start a career in Finance, with a specific opportunity to gain IT knowledge. Applicant will have hands-on experience in conjunction with gaining practical, real world experience at one of the worlds leading P&C insurance companies. Our goal is to ensure our summer intern has the opportunity to handle a diverse set of tasks and gains knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen their current academic skills.     As part of our internship program you will receive:

    The goal of an internship in finance is to apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world

    situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare the student for a

    successful career in finance.

    Responsibilities

    Assist with preparing monthly financial reports for IT organizations

    Assist with providing coding for invoices

    Ensuring applicable scope of journal entries are timely printed and signed

    Work with the finance team on quarterly forecast and annual planning efforts

    Assist with process documentation for the team

    Research and analysis

    Assist in the creation of an IT Finance internal web page

    Other duties assigned as required

    Qualifications

    Applicants should be Business, Finance, Math, Accounting or IT related majors.

    Applicant should have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (eg., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

    Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position.

    Intern hours are typically 9AM 5PM Monday through Friday or as agreed to by manager. Some overtime may be required (notice will be provided).
