    The Marketing department within Penn State Outreach and Online Education is seeking a Social Media Intern for summer 2018. The Intern will assist the marketing strategy team with creating and implementing social media content for initiatives within the professional and community education (PACE), entrepreneurship, and World Campus alumni portfolio. Our intern will have an exciting opportunity to work closely with seasoned marketing professionals to maintain and grow the social media presence of these initiatives. Initiatives within this portfolio include, but are not limited to, Global Entrepreneurship at Penn State, the Penn State Center Pittsburgh, the Penn State EdTech Network, and our continued efforts to engage Penn State World Campus alumni. Intern responsibilities will include writing content for social media posts, scheduling content, and measuring the performance of the content. This individual may also be required to take photos and create engaging visuals that will be used in content on Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and other social channels. A successful intern will have the ability to provide fresh insight into social media marketing and work consistently to produce high-quality content and meet deadlines. Our intern must possess strong writing, communication and organization skills, and must be able to balance multiple tasks. Candidates must be a full-time or part-time Penn State University Park student and must be in good academic and conduct standing with the University. This is a paid, part-time internship that requires 20 hours of work per week. The Intern will have the opportunity to be considered for a graduate assistantship that begins fall 2018. The graduate assistantship only applies to Penn State students enrolled in a graduate degree program at Penn State during the fall 2018 semester.
