    Raytheon BBN Technologies seeks a student engineer for an internship or co-op position in its Sensor Systems group in Cambridge, MA for summer, 2018. Our group is looking for creative thinkers who also enjoy working with their hands. The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team solving complex technical challenges.

    Opportunity for the intern to stay beyond summer as a part-time intern or co-op.

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Physics or Acoustics
    • Programming experience: MATLAB and/or C/C++

    Desired Experience:

    • Experience with signal processing basics is a plus
    • Experience with microcontrollers is a plus
    • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., git, svn, cvs)
    • Proficient in Windows and familiar with Linux operating systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with real-time/embedded systems software a plus (i.e. POSIX pThreads, vxWorks, etc
