    USAA Information Technology: A Realistic Preview

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Depending on your assignment, you will engage in software development or operational support, providing innovative solutions for both internal and member-facing projects. You will partner with experienced team members and work closely with business clients to analyze user requirements; design, code, and test applications; and integrate third-party solutions.

    While in your internship at USAA, you will collaboratively learn with fellow interns and USAA employees how to be successful professionally and personally. You’ll learn how to navigate USAA systems utilizing agile software delivery methods and the seven engineering principles. And it won’t be theory – you will be applying this knowledge as you deliver to production real solutions for internal customers and members.

    During your internship you will have the opportunity to interact with senior leaders and learn from their career journeys. Intentional team building activities provide time to have fun and build friendships. You will work hard, learn a lot, be stretched and challenged, have fun, and learn what it is like to serve members who go above and beyond for us every day.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors, or 4 + years of equivalent work experience in IT

    ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    “¢ Currently classified as a Junior or Senior.

    • Pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) majors.
