    SUMMARY

    ANSYS believes in developing our future engineers and technologists. We offer an enriching internship program for undergraduate/graduate students currently enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university. Our interns work on a variety of impactful projects. They develop and test our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in their field of study. This position is to directly support the Mechanical Business Unit at the Park City, UT office. The intern position will be highly focused on running Additive Manufacturing (AM) simulation software and providing data analysis supporting calibration and validation activities.

    This internship is a 40-hour per week paid position. Final schedule to be coordinated based on student availability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    “¢Work with the AM validation team to conduct iterative analysis of simulation data
    “¢Support the design and conduct validation experiments
    “¢Support development of validation/calibration documentation
    “¢Analyze results, evaluate data trends, run simulation calibration procedures
    “¢Run AM simulation case studies and provide data analysis, results visualization, and reporting

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    “¢Pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
    “¢Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
    “¢Good technical data analysis and report writing skills
    “¢Exposure to Windows/Linux systems
    “¢Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
    “¢Team player, responsible, and motivated

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    “¢Programming experience (i.e. Matlab, Python)
    “¢Exposure to FEA (i.e. ANSYS), CAD, ParaView and or other relevant modeling/design and visualization tools
    “¢ANSYS/Workbench experience
    “¢Additive manufacturing experience
