  • JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality & Safety Intern

    Summary:

    This is an opportunity to work in the Quality and Safety Department to help with various improvement projects. Projects include Document Control, Safety Training & Communication, Quality Management System implementation.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Formatting documents and maintaining them within a document control system
    • Organizing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) records and tracking completion
    • Updating the quality and safety internal web portals
    • Helping organize and create quality and safety training

    Experience and Education Required:

    • Completed at least two years of college in a business, communications, engineering (environmental, industrial or manufacturing) or equivalent degree.

    Qualifications (including Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Is a plus to have Google Docs, Sheets, Slides experience
    • Ability to communicate well verbally or in writing

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

    • This is an office position, but at times may include some amount of light work on the manufacturing floor. Must be able to lift 20 lbs. or stand for sustained periods on occasion.

    Salary and Benefits:

    • This is an internship for a temporary amount of time and non-benefits bearing. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.
