    The Sales Intern supports and assists the Sales teams to maintain and strengthen relationships with clients. This role is responsible for administrative duties.

    Role Qualifications:

    To be successful in this position, the Sales Intern must demonstrate persuasive communication skills, as well as strong client relationship building and customer service skills. They must demonstrate a sense of responsibility, self-motivation, flexibility, independence, sociability, and confidence. They must be results oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They must function effectively under pressure and in a timely manner. The Sales Intern must be willing and able to learn new information at a constant, rapid pace.

    Essential Functions:

    • Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with potential customers
    • Assist in the clean-up of client records in our database system
    • Effectively use CRM system to enter sales, client and speaker information for accurate tracking, reporting and follow-up
    • Assist in lead generation and prospecting activities, including creating prospecting lists, researching customers, and determining qualified lead
    • Assist in making outbound calls and verifying client or speaker information as directed
    • Utilize social media to assist sales teams with prospecting research
    • Communicate accurate and comprehensive event information to – speakers and internal departments as needed
    • Possess sufficient knowledge of industry marketplace, trends and product knowledge
    • Other duties as assigned

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Attend and contribute to sales, training, Marketing and Product meetings and collaborate with all departments
    • Answer email/phone requests and inquiries
    • Assist with associate assignments such as speaker proposals and speaker research as needed

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • Exceptional problem solving skills and ability to synthesize results, extract insight, and develop recommendations
    • Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and database (CRM)
    • Experience using the Internet for research purposes
    • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Industry experience preferred
