    The College Board’s Internship Program is an exciting chance to develop new skills while contributing to an organization that is committed to the transformation of education in America through college readiness for all students.

    This is a 10 week paid internship in our Reston, Virginia Office for Summer 2018.

    As a member of the Automation Engineering Team:

    You’ll have the opportunity to work on building a production ready automated UI monitoring framework for the Network Operations Center, which will alarm NOC to any performance issues on any of The College Board web properties. Originally developed as a Proof of Concept, your internship will help complete this concept and put it to real-world use.

    Over the course of this work you will learn everything you need to know about automated test engineering in a cloud based environment. You’ll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty with the Selenium framework and learn how to integrate it into our source control. You’ll learn Continuous Integration/Delivery with open source tools like Jenkins and then apply that knowledge for developing test runs.

    You will be a part of truly meaningful work, leveraging current technologies to solve complex real world business challenges and you’ll do this all while surrounded by people like yourself; wickedly smart and passionate about great code.

    Technical Skill Requirements:

    • Java or Javascript development ““ intermediate level
    • HTML ““ intermediate level
    • Database and SQL knowledge preferred

    Additional Requirements:

    • Must be a current junior or rising Senior enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
    • Desire to learn, explore and be challenged
    • Interest in working for a mission-oriented, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving education
    • Committed to working the entire agreed upon internship period
