    As a Continuous Improvement Intern you will assist with the following projects/activities:

    • Improve lean training module(s)
      • Take at least one lean core concept from current first day training and break it out as its own training
      • Develop training and activities to effectively convey the content to the production/office team
      • Develop standard work for training tot he module
      • Teach the training and review results of learning
    • Idea generation improvement/Understand current state
      • How many ideas per board per week
      • Turnaround time on an idea
      • How do we check back to see how ideas worked out
      • What is the current system in place for idea communication and execution
      • How do we encourage more ideas, improve implementation speed, and close the feedback loop?
    • Savings project

    Requirements:

    • At least a sophomore status, enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university, majoring in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field
    • Strong analytic and computer skills
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Proactive mindset with willingness to seize the initiative
    • Knowledge of lean is a plus
    • Ability to operate in ambiguity
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA

    This internship will be full time over the summer (May 2018-August 2018)
