    We are currently seeking innovative research interns with a passion for technology to develop wireless systems at our location in Redmond, WA. This role is focused on topics around Radio-Frequency (RF) physics and novel technologies to support wireless development needs taking VR and AR to the next level. The role will also include both simulation and lab responsibilities working through what aspects are critical to achieve the performance goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Development of computational tools to perform advanced simulations
    • Development of methods to experimentally validate simulations
    • Establish prototypes that demonstrate proof of concept in an experimental system architecture
    • Work cross functionally with other disciplines to development experimental setups and prototype concepts

    Mininum Qualifications:

    • Pursuing a masters or PhD degree in the field of Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field
    • Currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
    • Expertise in one or more areas of EM source and wave propagation, polarization, sensor physics, and signal analysis
    • 1+ years experience with experimental and laboratory work (i.e. demonstrated ability to construct proof-of-concept systems and to evaluate performance)
    • 2+ years experience with scientific programming languages, such as Matlab, Python, Mathematica, C/C++ or similar
    • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work cross-functionally / cross-group collaboratively
    • Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2017

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated ability to design and model RF systems
    • Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by first-authored publications
