    Ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in civil engineering. Construction, municipal, roadway, traffic or structural experience beneficial. Candidates must have a reliable means of transportation to travel to the office and project sites. A valid driver’s license, good driving record and personal vehicle insurance meeting company policy is required. This position is expected to last from late May through late August 2018 and may require overtime and out-of-town travel (generally within 75 miles of the office). Hours may vary based on workload and weather.

    Responsibilities:

    This individual will work under the direct supervision of engineering staff and, depending on the location and internship, may be assigned to in-office design assistance or construction projects. Duties may include assisting with construction inspection on water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, asphalt or concrete pavement, curb and gutter, construction staking such as subgrade and base course; and other duties. Duties related to traffic internships include assisting with traffic data collection, traffic analysis, computer simulations and modeling, and report preparation.
